ECDC reports 316 confirmed cases and 129 deaths in Haut-Uélé through its latest update, while WHO's latest report notes sustained transmission below the province's August peak.
The recent identification of Dungu Health Zone as an affected area further emphasizes the importance of preparedness across the province.
Development Alert continues promoting health awareness, early reporting and cooperation with response teams.
We also emphasize the importance of reaching rural communities that may face barriers to healthcare access.
Preparedness must extend beyond major population centers to communities where distance, infrastructure and information gaps can delay response.
