Strengthening Isolation and Safety Measures
Effective isolation is critical to preventing Ebola transmission. Ensuring that suspected and confirmed cases are safely managed protects families, health workers, and entire communities.
We are supporting:
- Safe isolation spaces within treatment facilities
- Infection prevention supplies such as disinfectants and protective gear
- Training for healthcare workers on safe handling procedures
These measures are reducing the risk of further spread within healthcare settings and beyond. Supporting Development Alert's community initiatives to promote isolation and safety measures ensures there's effective prevention of the spread and control of Ebola thus human health.
Because of you, safer systems are in place to protect both patients and caregivers.

By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Fighting Misinformation in a Health Crisis
During an outbreak, misinformation can spread as quickly as the virus itself—creating fear, stigma, and delays in seeking care.
We are working to ensure communities receive clear, accurate, and timely information by:
- Broadcasting verified health messages through local channels
- Training community volunteers to counter myths
- Promoting safe practices for prevention and early reporting
Accurate information empowers people to act quickly and responsibly. Supporting Development Alert's community initiatives is critical in ensuring there's effective response and information flow in the fight against Ebola.
Your support helps replace fear with knowledge—and knowledge with action. This is essential to controlling the outbreak.
