By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Strengthening School-Based Prevention Programs
Schools play a vital role in shaping behavior and spreading awareness. With your support, Ebola prevention programs are being strengthened within schools across border communities.
Teachers and students are being equipped with knowledge on Ebola symptoms, hygiene practices, and prevention strategies. School health clubs are actively promoting handwashing and sharing information with peers and families.
As a result, students are becoming ambassadors for health within their communities. They are reinforcing prevention messages at home and encouraging their families to adopt safer practices.
These school-based interventions create a ripple effect, extending the reach of awareness efforts beyond the classroom.
Your support is helping build a generation that is informed, proactive, and committed to protecting community health—both now and in the future.
