Dear Donor,
The scale of the current Ebola outbreak makes reliable community communication essential.
The DRC has recorded 7,475 confirmed cases and 3,605 deaths as of 16 September, while WHO continues emphasizing community engagement as a core response pillar.
Development Alert continues using trusted community networks to promote accurate information.
We engage leaders, volunteers, teachers, women, youth and transport communities.
Our messages focus on practical actions: report serious illness promptly, seek professional medical advice, maintain hygiene and follow public-health guidance.
We also challenge stigma and misinformation.
A community that understands what to do is better prepared than a community that only hears frightening statistics.
