Report for July & August 2019
The new academic year started in May 2019 and all the students returned from the long summer vacations.
From July, the regular academic and extracurricular activities- sports and cultural competitions are being held as per schedule.
In sports, Kabbadi and Throwball competitions were held. The school also participated in the local village level sports events competing with students from other schools. Neelbagh students took part in 100,200 & 400 mts race; 400 mts relay, shuttlecock, yoga and cricket events. They have now qualified to participate in the District level games.
Regular cultural activities are done by the students at the assembly.
In August, India’s Independence Day was celebrated in the school by hoisting the National flag. Sweets were distributed to all the students and teachers. This was followed by the Annual Sports Day.
Curiouscity is a company that brings science education closer to the children using hands-on methods of teaching- they did a workshop for the students of class 6 at Neelbagh school.
Primavera’s (BOSCH CSR) Annual Cultural extravaganza “ Spark of Joy 5’ was held on August 24th and the students from Neelbagh performed this year as well. The theme was stages of life and the Neelbagh students displayed their talent through song and dance. Primavera sponsored the entire event and over 30 students participated.
Neelbagh School will be celebrating the School Annual day on the 7th of September 2019.
The school will be closed for the Dasera festival holidays for a period of 10 days starting early October 2019.
Quarterly Report 2019
The months of March, April, May usher at the end of the academic year 2018-19 and the start of the new academic year in June 2019.
Neelbagh School students start preparing for the final examinations and also to enjoy the long summer break.
A majority of the student's parents attended the parent-teacher meeting and interacted with the teachers who were teaching their children. They gained a good understanding of their child’s strengths and weaknesses and performance in class etc.
The class X students who are in their final year of the school appeared for a State level Board exam and got ready to graduate from high school.
A final round of sports and other activities were completed during this quarter.
A Career guidance Workshop was held for the Class X students; Mrs. Mamata Mutt – a career counselor conducted a group session for the students to gain insight into their strengths and subject interest. This was followed by an individual session with each student and the parent.
Mrs. Mamata Mutt, Ms. Dechu Banerjee, Ashraya Secretary, and Headmaster Manjunath conducted these interviews with the 10th class students and parents.
Primavera, the CSR wing of Bosch invited about 60 students to attend a program by the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra which the students enjoyed -first time experience for them.
The school closed for the summer break the middle of March 2019. Neelbagh School experiences 40 degree Celsius ( C ) temperatures in summer and is prone to acute water shortage.
The students returned to start the new academic year in the middle of May 2019.
The class 10th State Board results were announced at the end of April 2019; Ashraya Neelbagh School students secured 100% first-class results consecutively for the 11th time. All the students have joined college to pursue higher studies.
The dedication and commitment of the staff under the guidance of the Principal and continuing support from donors has made it possible for the students to reach for the stars. Their achievements and success in school will propel them to achieve greater success in the future.
Report for January, February and March 2019
The final quarter of the school year 2018-19 begins in January 2019. The students are preparing for the final exams which are being conducted in March 2019. The summer holidays will also begin mid March and the school will be closed for 2 months; reopening for the new academic year by mid May 2019.
2019 New Year was welcomed with a bonfire, singing, dancing and special lunch .
Republic Day, a national event in India was celebrated by all the students with flag hoisting and a cultural program.
The final round of sports and cultural activities and competitions were concluded for the academic year 2018-19. The students participated in dramatics, music and dance competitions.
The Class X students are in their final year of school and have to appear for the State level Board exam for which preparations are in full swing. Pre -Board exams at the school and district level gives the students an idea of how to prepare to gain the maximum benefit. The Class X students are given career counseling by a professional. A half day workshop for self assessment of skills , interest and abilities is held for the students to help them gain a better understanding on where their strengths lie. A one on one session is held with the student and parents to guide them on the choice of subjects, 1st and 2nd preferences , selection of pre university colleges and courses etc.
The students are looking forward to the long summer holidays.
Another successful year concludes soon and thanks to all the support received we at Ashraya are able to make this a valuable and interesting year for all the students and staff at Neelbagh School.

QUARTER OCTOBER – DECEMBER 2018
The quarter was a joyous one with numerous festivals for the students to enjoy- Dussehra and Diwali were celebrated with new clothes, sweets, fireworks and family time. By the end of the quarter it will be time for Christmas and New Year.
The students enjoyed a short break from school during the Dussehra holidays in October.
The students are back to their study schedule. Monthly sports and cultural competitions are being held. The Class X students are beginning their preparation for the Board finals to be held in March 2019.
An evaluation of the school work and the area they need extra help in are being assessed and accordingly a revision schedule is being planned.
Ashraya Neelbagh students were winners in the AWIM Regional Olympics. They won both Skimmer and Jet Toy, which means two of the teams have qualified to go to Nationals (scheduled to take place during first week of January at Chandigarh). The students who participated in this are from Class 5 and 6.

QUARTERLY REPORT FROM JULY – SEPTEMBER 2018
The students at Neelbagh School have settled in to a study and activities routine this quarter. Sports and cultural activities and competitions have begun in earnest.
Sports competitions Kabbadi for the boys and throw ball for the girls was organized between teams within the school representing different houses.
In the cultural competitions singing, drama and dance items were showcased by the children and different prizes won.
Sports competitions at the Hobli (district level) with other schools in the area were also conducted in which Neelbagh students performed exceptionally well in the 100, 200, & 400 mts races, in relay, shuttle cock, cricket and basketball. .
Headmasters Meet - At the District (Taluk) level a meeting of the High school headmasters was organized by the Block Education Officer (BEO).The teaching patterns, challenges faced and remedial measures were discussed by the Principals of all the Schools. The BEO strongly recommended that the Neelbagh teaching methods be incorporated by the other schools wherein special attention is paid to the students lagging behind through remedial classes ;repeated tests and writing assignments etc, be given to help the students improve.
A workshop and discussion session was conducted for the Class 9 & 10 students by Lavina Ponnappa on Techniques and Tools of Smart Learning and the importance of imbibing values which will help prioritize life’s goals and ambitions.
August is the busiest month of the academic year as both Sports Day and Annual Day is celebrated during this month.
India’s Independence day is also celebrated this month. The students perform short items like skit and dance to highlight the significance of Independence Day in India’s history. The Indian flag is hoisted in school and sweets are distributed to all.
Neelbagh School’s 23rd Annual day celebrations was held this year and we were honored to have the CEO and Managing Director of a very big corporate along with the Head of CSR grace the occasion as chief guests. The parents of the students came from different parts of the State.
The students received prizes for excellence in academics, sports and cultural events. The cultural program was enjoyed by all. Lunch was hosted
Special visitors Mr.& Mrs. Grosch, Trustee, Primavera, Germany, visited the School on 24th of this month. They were very happy to go around the classrooms, listen to explanations by the students in the science lab, join the students to take pictures. The short cultural program was enjoyed by all.
The Spark of Joy Season-3 cultural extravaganza was organized by Primavera CSR wing of BOSCH this year as well and over 30 students from Neelbagh performed a delightful musical dance which got a standing ovation from the crowd. Bosch supported the cost of training, travel etc for the event.
The GE Science fair is held annually and over 88 schools - aided, govt and non profit participate. This year 30 students from class 6th participated; they made display models and provided explanation on models to highlight the theme ‘CLEAN WATER ‘
Neelbagh School won the 1st runner prize and 2 shields, one for best presentation and the other for the experiment model.
The students and staff are eagerly waiting for the festival holidays coming up in October.
