Quarter January to March 2018
This Quarter is the beginning of the New year and end of the academic year.
The Neelbagh students ushered in the New Year with a bonfire, music, skits and dance program by the students followed by a sumptuous dinner with chicken as a special treat.
The quarter starts with final preparations for exams before the summer break. Syllabus content and assignments are completed and evaluated, revision schedule is put in place.
Along with the monthly sports competitions where the boys had volley ball match and the girls throw ball match; Republic Day was also celebrated with flag hoisting and the significance of the day was explained to all the students. India celebratesthe nation's Republic Day, which is a gazette holiday on January 26th each year as it is a day to remember when India's constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, completing the country's transition toward becoming an independent Republic.
AWIM (A World in Motion) National Olympics competitions (Skimmer Challenge and Jet Toy Challenge) – middle school students participated at the Regional level and won in the Jet Toy event and became eligible to participate at the National Level competition where the team won 3 medals in the Jet Toy Challenge event, in 3 categories namely 1st Runner Up position, best sportsmanship, Maximum speed and Accuracy. The students worked hard and were ably supported by their Science teacher.
The Karnataka State Govt. Education Department felicitated 2 of the students who scored distinction marks in the Class X Board exams in Kolar District last year. They were given a certificate of merit, trophy, wrist watch and Rs. 20,000/- in cash.
GE sponsored Volunteer Sports meet, an annual event , was held this year in the GE campus; students from over 200 schools participated and Neelbagh students won the 1st place in 14 events out of 20 t and won the Overall team GE Championship award.
During the last month of the academic year March 2018 sports and quiz competitions.
Career guidance workshop was conducted by a trained career guidance counsellor.
The sessions included group activities with the Class X students to help them identify their skill strengths and subject interest .this is followed by a one on one interaction with the student’s parent, headmaster counselor and member of the management. Various career options are discussed based on the student’s interest and assurance is sought from the parent that the student’s education will be continued.
The academic year for 2017-18 is coming to an end- the 14th batch of Class X students will pass out of school after writing the State Level Board exams; the remaining students LKG to Class IX will finish their final exams and start the summer break. The School will reopen on the 21st of May 2018.
