Impact Update – Faster Identification of High-Risk Contacts
Your support is helping significantly improve how quickly high-risk contacts are identified and monitored.
Before these interventions, delays in identifying contacts increased the risk of further spread. Now, with stronger systems in place, response teams are acting faster and more efficiently.
With your help, we have:
- Expanded the number of trained contact tracers
- Improved coordination between community alerts and response teams
- Strengthened rapid follow-up procedures for exposed individuals
As a result, high-risk contacts are being identified earlier and monitored more closely during the critical period.
This faster response is helping prevent new cases before they emerge.

In one treatment setting in Kampala, a healthcare worker shared how access to proper protective equipment and updated training has changed how they manage patients. Previously, limited supplies and uncertainty increased risk. Today, they are able to confidently provide care while following strict safety protocols.

- Delivered training on infection prevention and safe patient handling
