Impact Update – Promoting Hygiene at Boda Boda Stages
Boda boda stages are among the busiest and most interactive environments in urban and peri-urban areas, making them critical points for Ebola prevention efforts.
With your support, we have focused targeted interventions at these high-contact locations. Previously, boda boda riders and passengers had limited access to hygiene facilities, increasing the risk of transmission through frequent physical contact and shared surfaces.

As a result, riders are now incorporating handwashing into their daily routines, particularly between trips. Passengers are also more aware and increasingly using these facilities before and after rides.
This has transformed boda boda stages from high-risk transmission points into active prevention hubs.
Your support is helping protect both riders and passengers—reducing risk across an entire network of daily interactions within the community.
