Dear Donor,
Haut-Uélé continues to require sustained attention as Ebola transmission persists.
The latest ECDC update reports 335 confirmed cases and 140 deaths in Haut-Uélé, with cases recorded in seven of its 13 health zones.
The province's importance has increased further because Dungu Health Zone, which borders South Sudan, is among the affected areas.
Development Alert continues promoting early reporting, hygiene awareness and responsible health communication among communities connected by travel and trade.
Border-connected communities require preparedness that protects public health without creating fear or stigma.
Our continued focus is on helping communities recognize risks, seek appropriate care and cooperate with response teams.
