Dear Donor,
One of the greatest things is ensuring that Contact follow-up remains an enormous part of the Ebola response.
The latest ECDC update reports that 75.9% of identified case contacts were under follow-up in affected provinces.
Development Alert continues encouraging communities to cooperate with trained surveillance and contact-tracing teams.
When people understand why health teams are following contacts, providing accurate information and monitoring possible exposures, cooperation can become easier and more effective.
Community engagement is therefore an important complement to technical surveillance operations.
We continue promoting respectful communication that reduces fear and misinformation.
Your support helps strengthen the community trust needed for effective disease surveillance.
