Dear Donor,
Timely access to appropriate healthcare remains critical in the Ebola response.
The World Health Organization continues highlighting delayed detection and deaths occurring within communities as major challenges because delays can allow transmission to continue within households and healthcare settings.
Development Alert continues encouraging people to seek professional medical assistance when they develop concerning symptoms.
Our awareness messages also emphasize that seeking care should not result in stigma or discrimination.
Communities need supportive environments where people can communicate health concerns honestly and receive appropriate assistance.
By promoting timely healthcare seeking, we help communities reduce dangerous delays and strengthen preparedness.
