For more than 1 year, we have ensured the nutrition and well-being of more than 230 children and around 200 families living in poverty so that they do not go hungry due to Covid19.

The situation in 2021 has been worse than in 2020. In many countries, as in Colombia, COVID19 has caused the prices of basic food products (seeds, flour, salt, milk, hygiene products, etc.) ) are getting higher and higher.

The pandemic has affected the entire food system and has exposed the fragility of poor families and it is children who suffer the most from this situation.

Without the means to earn an income during the confinements, many are unable to feed themselves or their families. For most, not having an income means not eating, that is why in the Corporacion Superarse, we continue to deliver food packages and hygiene kits to the families of children that we keep in our care, ensuring too for their health and that education does not it stops.

YOUR HELP IS STILL VERY IMPORTANT TO THEM!

The situation of thousands of families in MEDELLIN-COLOMBIA and throughout the world is painful, because of the pandemic, they have been unable to get food for their children, because they live from informal work or temporary jobs from which they have been fired, or because they have arrived displaced from Venezuela or the countryside, looking for new opportunities, without finding them.

During 2020 and what we have been doing in 2021, in CORPORACION SUPERARSE, thanks to the support of many people and companies we have DELIVERED MORE THAN 2,700 FOOD PACKAGES AND TOILET KIT, for families without resources, without jobs or who cannot go out to the streets to "seek daily sustenance"

With YOUR HELP we will continue to deliver food every 15 days for more than 100 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, affected by the pandemic, and supporting them in the psychological part, which has also affected us all in the world.

WE CAN ALL SUPPORT A "GRAIN OF SAND" SO THAT FEWER PEOPLE SUFFER FROM HUNGER. WE COUNT ON YOU !!

Feeling the trust and support of our benefactors motivates us to continue advancing and growing to provide greater benefits for our children and youth. With the collaboration of so many people and companies, we were able to carry out the activities planned in 2020, thanks to those valuable contributions and commitment, giving children and young people the opportunity to transform their lives.

With 35 employees and more than 40 volunteers, who work daily with much love for children and young people in their different processes, this 2020, despite the challenges and difficulties that brought us, left to SUPERARSE a positive balance, highlighting the following aspects:

Direct beneficiaries: 213 boys, girls and adolescents cared for in Internship and externship.
Autonomous Life Program: 65 young direct beneficiaries
Playrooms: free care 362 indirect beneficiaries of other NGOs.
Vulnerable families that received food: 200 families = 680 people / indirect beneficiaries

TOTAL BENEFICIARIES: 1,320 people served in 2020

Investment of U$660.000, for the care and well-being of children, youth, families and employees of SUPERARSE, an increase of 11.78% compared to 2019

During 2020 and part of 2021, we will continue working on the "Computers and ICT tools" project for all our girls and boys, providing study rooms and strengthening their skills for virtual study and development of new capacities.

Your contribution will continue to be very important in the education and nutrition of all our beneficiary children.

We count on you to continue TRANSFORMING THEIR LIVES!

.. I get up at eight in the morning and my grandmother gives me a cup of coffee or chocolate. Ready to play with the leather ball stolen from somewhere. When we get to the court there are almost always others like us already playing, who scores a goal, who kicks, what championships, what football-tennis, we play in full sun and we want that game to last all day, we never get tired. Now I don't like studying, I don't have a computer or internet and I can't take virtual classes, I think next year I'd better find out if I work at the street selling something, or washing cars, studying like that is not my thing. (Samuel 11 years old)

Living on the street is a MISERY. The innocence of children is perverted by absolute poverty. Without education, the warm leather of a soccer ball can be replaced by the icy iron of a pistol. Perhaps, behind his bare feet, his taciturn eyes and that yellow skin, there are only the scenes of death and desolation that are lived day by day in the dusty streets.

All of us who work with poor children know very well the filth, disease, violence, and exclusion felt on the street. There are many investigations on the possible social causes of street activity: poverty, lack of education, violence, deterioration of the family, sexual abuse and many others are the causes for a child to prefer to live as homeless.

Every boy and girl on the street is an individual person, with particular wants and needs. In Colombia, boys go out to the streets to seek adventure and freedom, but girls do not have this option, they come to the streets looking for money for their families.

It was found that in Latin America, almost 100% of children living on the streets have experienced some type of violence. Whether from the family, the gangs, the guerrillas, the police, the school ... the children say they prefer to live on the street for fear of death, abuse, or the forced recruitment of a relative or neighbor.

""With your help this Christmas, we can save many children from living on the streets""

With this phrase, Together we are stronger, Zulma C. "I want to thank Corporacion Superarse enormously, its teachers and collaborators for this beautiful work that they do. You do not know the great support that you give us, the enormous help that you give us, many of the families like us, would be in a very critical food situation, if it weren't for you. God bless you and multiply your works. THANK YOU " (original text - photo in spanish).

Like her, many families receive support every day to continue surviving during the crisis.
