Every day there are more children at risk, who need help to survive, to feed themselves or to get out of abuse.
In SUPERARSE, during the last 5 years we have been able to increase the number of protected children. In 2017 we attended 93 children in each cycle. In 2021, we attended 150 children in each cycle. Now we are very close to being able to serve 200 children daily.
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TO ACHIEVE IT!
We already have the second foster home finished, now we are very close to being able to start buying beds, mattresses, blankets, dining room furniture, crockery, kitchen implements, educational and recreational material, we are also going to buy a television and chairs for the living room study. We already have computers and some games. At SUPERARSE we are happy and optimistic that very soon we will have everything ready to receive the children and be able to start transforming their future.
Our goal is AUGUST 2022.

During all these years we have helped save more than 13,000 lives that seemed lost, boys and girls living in poverty, children without food, homeless children, children on the verge of suicide due to abuse received, to prevent teenage pregnancies and to build successful lives.
With the Covid19 pandemic we saw that although we continue to work, the need to protect children in Colombia has grown, family abuse, sexual abuse, hunger and other ills in low-income families have grown, putting the lives of thousands of children at risk. kids.
That is why we are now growing, with the construction of a new boarding school, which will allow us to protect 50 more children each year.
We are about to finish the construction, so that this dream of having a foster home for more abandoned or abused children becomes a reality.
Now we need to buy everything necessary to furnish the home, to receive more children at risk
We need to buy 50 beds, with mattresses, blankets, pillows and clothes.
Dining tables and chairs where the 50 children can enjoy their food
Implements for cooking and food preparation.
Computers and furniture for the study room.
1 television for children's moments of rest
Board games, toys, books and school supplies for everyone.
In short, everything necessary to be able to equip this new foster home.

In SUPERARSE we focus on jointly finding the factors that can restore smiles and the natural development of children and adolescents who have suffered abuse, through individual, group and family intervention strategies, mobilizing and managing support , through the National Family Welfare System and institutional networks, to gain access to goods and services that improve living conditions and allow renewing the exercise of the natural functions of the family.
Our interventions and accompaniment seek to reduce vulnerability factors and strengthen affective ties between children and the different members of the family, with permanent psychosocial care, which allows resolving unresolved problems in the life history of children and adolescents, their environment and support networks.
We develop projects to reduce the impact of the violation of rights or the poor socioeconomic living conditions of the population, aligning ourselves in each project with one or more of the SDGs proposed on the world agenda, we mainly work on reducing poverty, zero hunger, quality education, reduction of inequalities, peace and solid institutions.
Let's continue TOGETHER contributing to return more smiles to the faces of children in Colombia and the world!
Although in 2021 WE CONTINUE IN A PANDEMIC and we did not return to normality as we thought, on the contrary it brought us more challenges, it was a year that prompted us to continue adapting to the inevitable, to continue working for children despite adversity, to stay connected even if we were far away, to corroborate that solidarity has no limits, to believe in others and accept differences.
Thank you 2021 for giving us new growth opportunities to continue improving and in this constant evolution, Thank you for helping us transform and find the way with others to continue with our mission and work together with a shared sense. Now is the time to put into words and figures the result of these actions and dreams built during the year:
We assisted 291 boys, girls and young people in boarding and day care homes.
In addition to food for the children, almost 2,000 food packages and hygiene kits were delivered throughout the year to the families of our children.
We take care of the lives of our beneficiaries, 50% already have the first dose of Covid vaccines, and 20% have the scheme with 2 doses.
17 young people completed the "Creating your future" course, to strengthen their soft skills and have greater employment opportunities in the future.
We know that education is the engine to change the world, in 2021 we will work on the project to provide computers, ICT tools course and improvement of study rooms for beneficiary children. Equipping the rooms with 20 new computers and other study implements.
We raised over $20,000 in donations and campaigns through GlobalGiving, allowing us to continue projects old and new. With an extra contribution that prompted us to begin the construction of a new boarding school that will be able to attend to 50 more children who have suffered violation of rights.
Our history makes sense when we share this commitment of more than 50 years, contributing to the well-being of thousands of children and families in our community, with fairness, respect, responsibility and transparency.
THANK YOU to all those who contributed to continue with our purpose of contributing to well-being and capacity building, improving living conditions, educational, civic and cultural processes as axes of social transformation.
This is the story of a child who, like many, have suffered abuse. If you are suffering or have suffered any kind of mistreatment or abuse, I hope you know that you do not have to continue being a victim and that you can be happy.
We do NOT want these stories to repeat themselves. BECOME A HERO. HELP THEM!
"I am Samuel, when I was seven years old, I had just started second grade in the school in my town, I had a teacher of an extracurricular activity, I was a strange man. One day we were all the children standing, listening to another teacher. Suddenly someone pinched my butt. I turned around and he was right behind me, looking straight ahead, pretending he was listening to his partner. Shortly after he gave me the same pinch again. That's how he started it all, he started treating me like an object to play with, manipulate and destroy. I kept telling myself how stupid I was, how bad I was, how bad I behaved, how little I was worth. He enjoyed humiliating me, destroying my self-esteem, manipulating my mind, generating fear in me, he brought his face close to mine, with a slight smile of perverted enjoyment. My fear and suffering were his pleasure. But fear had blocked me, he was unable to defend myself and was unable to tell what was happening to me.
One day after several months of excruciating torture to my mind, he sent me to my knees. He turned off the light, pulled out a knife, and asked me if he knew where children went when they died. I said to heaven. And then he said “you're going to go there. I'm going to stab you with the knife. " I did not feel scared or afraid. On the contrary, I was relieved that this was finally over. I stayed on my knees, silent, accepting that he was going to stab me with the knife. But the seconds passed and apparently that man was doing nothing, although inside he must have been feeling the greatest excitement.
Until I finally told my mother and despite the fact that she defended me and stopped going to that school, I kept seeing him on the street or imagining his torture, the psychological damage has haunted me my whole life and has affected all my relationships, my studies, my personality. Despite everything, after receiving psychological treatment I have managed to overcome some of these fears."
This may be the story of thousands of children in our country. In SUPERARSE we work so that children do not have to live the horrors of physical and psychological abuse
