Dear friends, thank you for your ongoing commitment. We’d like to share news about the boy to whom we helped. His name is Matei B. He is 4 years old. Diagnosis: Congenital heart disease.
First time we met baby Matei in 2015. Just a few days after he was born, doctors detect Congenital heart disease (transposition of the great arteries with ventricular septal defect 11 mm, pulmonary valve stenosis).
Matei already endured 2 surgeries during first year of his life. But he needs one more surgery. First surgery was paid by his parents. We all together assisted to pay for the second. It was successfully performed at 2016. At the moment Matei is preparing for the third surgery, which is extremely necessary and important. It supposed to be done not later than April 2019.
Approximate cost of necessary medical treatment and surgery is 9239 EUR. The parents managed to raise 2000 euros. We started fundraising for the little boy.
Not long ago Matei with his parents surprised us and payed us a visit bringing many warm feelings and good news with them.
Matei’s heart surgery in the cardiologic center of Kiev went successfully. The boy was recovering quickly and had already gotten the chance to play jokes on the girls in the hospital.
The boy is very energetic and willing to live. He isn’t allowed to go to the kindergarten at the moment. This is why his mom takes him out for walks in the park, to feed the pigeons.
The family was very worried from the economical point of view as the surgery had to take place sooner than intended. But we made it! Matei’s surgery happened just at the right moment. Now the parents can take care of the up-bringing of their child.
Matei’s parents are grateful to all of their saviours for the help they so needed in fundraising.
One more child heart saved! Thank you so much for your care and support!
Dear friends, thank you for your dedication and continuous support! We’d like to share news about the boy to whom we helped. His name is Marian S. He is only 8 months. His diagnosis: Congenital Heart Disease.
In Marian’s family from Donduseni children are treated very carefully, because all kids suffers from congenital heart disease. First child survived only two weeks not having enough time to wait for life-saving surgery. With Gabriel, second child, we have met when he was in urgent need of heart surgery intervention. We managed to collect a part of necessary for intervention funds. Now Gabriel is 6 years old, he is ok.
Recently, third child Marian was born in this family. Not even one medical screening didn’t detect fetal heart problems, however during first 2 life hours baby began to suffocate. Fate of the family – heart disease – was the reason.
Doctors from Chisinau and Kiev cured the baby, his medical status varies from stabile up to extremely severe. Only 2 weeks of his life the baby spent at home. Until his life is in danger – hospital room is his home. It is painful. The whole family is suffering.
On august Marian with his mother was in Kiev for scheduled surgery. Baby`s Heart Foundation granted 8.000 Euro. But the situation unexpectedly deeply worsened. Pacemaker needed to be installed until the baby is at the Hospital, but invoice for medical care increased up to 20.000 Euro.
Father is the only person who work in the family. He is a tractor-driver with not-permanent seasonal job, the rest of time he is farming and does every job he can find.
But fortunately, his very first New Year Marian met home surrounded by family. It is a very goods news, because since he was born and during 7 months he stayed at the hospital.
The boy is under permanent monitoring of cardiologist. Doctor says that surgery will not be necessary up till 4 year old. Later, maybe, will arise the necessity to change pacemaker. But is very early to discuss it, because there is one small opportunity that pacemaker will be not necessary in the future.
For now baby is growing and trying to reach his peers growth. Due to the very complicated surgery and long period of rehabilitation Marian weights only 5 800 gr being 8-months baby. He is on special diet and not crawling yet. But we are absolutely convinced, that in atmosphere of love and care of his family the boy will recover more quickly.
Surgery for Marian was paid by several charitable organizations. We would like to thank all of you who offered in time assistance for our beneficiary.
Dear friends, thank you for your dedication and continuous support!
We’d like to share news about the girl to whom we helped. Her name is Maria C. She is only 9. Her diagnosis: Macrocystic lymphangioma in neck and spine.
For a long time Maria is suffering of a huge benign tumor which affects girl’s neck and back. It has not only beauty defect, but makes the girl to suffocate, prevents her of normal moving and development in line with same age.
Every following surgery is extremely dangerous for the girl, because tumor is deeply connected with muscles, nerves and vascular. Every single anesthesia and post-rehabilitation period affects her heart activity and psychological status. Doctors has no idea about the reason of this tumor, factors which provokes the growth and how to stop it.
At the beginning of July girl’s medical status became worsen. Four years have passed since the last surgery and all this time tumor was growing till the critical stage. High body temperature, strong throat pain. Maria began to suffocate and couldn’t eat.
Her mother urgently brought her to Moscow for the surgery. Surgeon removed the tumor which squeezed the girl’s trachea, saving her life in this way. Now Maria is feeling better and doing rehabilitation.
Parents and relatives of Maria C. expresses gratitude to “every person who helped to collect necessary for surgery funds, therefore saving Maria’s life!
Thank you so much for your care and support!

Melissa P., 3 years. Diagnosis: Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Being only 2-years old, little Melissa was diagnosed with malignant tumour. Girl was treated at N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center. She got through 12 chemo courses and operation, again several chemo and radiotherapy courses before special treatment was over. As Melissa’s treatment had to be paid, her family together with charitable organizations, including NGO Save Life, fundraised necessary funds.
For now, to exclude risk of relapse Melissa should undergo a medical examination once in a three months. Girl’s family hopes for the support of good hearted people which again will not stay indifferent and help to collect necessary funds to save life of their daughter.
„Finally we have the opportunity to enjoy every single day spend with our princess. Melissa began to speak very early and has an excellent memory. She learns poems and tells stories. She wants to visit kindergarten, but it is impossiblefor now, because girl should recovery after long difficult treatment. We do our best to provide Melissa with the most interesting and useful education. Our family do hope, that necessary medical examination will become less frequent, as doctors prognosis were good from the very beginning (tumor was detected in time and there were no mistakes in medical treatment). We are very grateful in advance to all people who will help to change our destiny” – said Melissa’s mother.
We wish Melissa to be brave and have patience in her fight with disease. Get well soon!
