Blondie: Abandoned and Alone No More!

By Kasey Garrett | Project Leader

Blondie
Blondie

Blondie, a six-year-old female cocker spaniel, was abandoned at a local industrial park, left alone to fend for herself. She was most likely scared and confused. Why had this happened to her? What did she do to deserve this? These are questions that have no answers. She didn't deserve to be dumped or treated like she didn't matter. She deserved compassion, kindness, love- everything a dog should be given. And she still deserves it.

We can't fix Blondie's past, but we can but we can improve her present and get her on her way to a happy future. Your support and donations have allowed us to do this for Blondie. After being abandoned, Blondie made her way into our care at East Mississippi Animal Rescue. She was horribly matted and had a large growth on her abdomen. We had her groomed and the large mass, which turned out to be a hernia, surgically removed. Blondie was spayed and received several vaccinations. She also tested positive for heartworms and received treatment. She was then given a caring and compassionate environment in which to recover.

Blondie's care was costly, but necessary. She deserved to be well taken care of. She deserved to feel happy and healthy. Your donations are what made this possible for Blondie. As she awaits the perfect forever home, know that you had a part in her story. You had a role in finding her happiness.

We can never thank you enough for supporting our organization and mission. Our work is never done, but we continue to work tirelessly nonetheless. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us to help those animals who cannot help themselves.
