"Love on Steroids"

Today we want to share with you Oliver's story. Oliver is a two-year-old Bassett Hound who found himself at the local animal control facility after his owner's death. Facing the fate of euthanasia, Oliver was pulled from the facility by East Mississippi Animal Rescue and soon began his journey to healing and love. Once in our care, your donations helped provide for his neuter surgery, vaccinations, and treatment for heartworms. Oliver's photo was shared with a fellow rescue group in New England and it was then that a special family saw his photo and fell absolutely in love. Unfortunately for Oliver, he suffered a minor setback during the week he was scheduled to begin his journey to his new home. He had complications from heartworms and required bloodwork and more medications. One week later, Oliver was ready to set out on the journey to meet the members of his forever family, who were anxiously awaiting his arrival. To sum up their feelings about Oliver, he is "awesome" and they describe him as "love on steroids!" We are so incredibly happy for Oliver and his family and wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

Your faithful support and donations allow us to continue to help more animals like Oliver. On Wednesday, September 16th, GlobalGiving is hosting their final "Bonus Day" of the year. They will be matching online donations made through their website at 30% until the $70,000 in matching funds run out. GlobalGiving will match up to $1,000 per donor, per organization. Please consider making a donation to our cause to ensure we are able to carry out our mission and help more animals like Oliver (and their forever families.)
