The busy holiday season is behind us and things continue to be in full swing here at East Mississippi Animal Rescue. Life never slows down in the world of rescue! Here's a short story about Malcolm, a male boxer, who you've allowed us to help in the recent months.
Malcolm's life has been anything but stable. He had several owners and it seemed as if no one wanted to be his forever home.
A man was selling him and a girl, feeling badly for the poor dog, bought him in hopes of saving him. Malcolm was in poor condition and was in need of some serious love. After a short amount of time, things weren't working out and sadly, Malcolm was surrendered to the local animal control facility.
Lucky for Malcolm, things weren't sad for very long. He was transferred to our care at East Mississippi Animal Rescue. Once in our care, Malcolm was treated for hookworms and had several growths removed from his body. He was also neutered.
Malcolm was posted to our page as an adoptable animal and it wasn't long before he had a home to call his own in Alabama. He now lives with his new parents and has a few boxer sisters with whom he loves to play. Malcolm's new family describes him as "loving" and "giving."
We never cease to be amazed at how much love animals can give and how much appreciation they can show once we treat them with the respect and care that they deserve. Thank you for helping us continue on our mission. Malcolm and other dogs like him have been given a second chance because of you and your never-ending support. We couldn't thank you enough for helping us help the helpless.
