It's that time of year when the hustle and bustle of the holidays begin. As we approach Thanksgiving, everyone here at East Mississippi Animal Rescue is thankful for your support and loyalty to our cause. We want to send out a huge THANKS for believing in us and our mission. We wake up each day and strive to help those animals who have been mistreated and abandoned. Their journies are often heartbreaking, but the happy endings are heartwarming. We hope Krystal and Zane's stories bring a little warmth to your heart as the cold winds of winter begin to breeze in.
Krystal is a malti-poo mix who was pulled from a local animal control facility due to needing some extra care and attention. She came to us neglected and matted. It was obvious that Krystal hadn't been properly cared for in quite some time. After a trip to the vet for some basic medical care, Krystal was treated to a spa day at the groomer. It's amazing what a good bath and haircut can do! If Krystal's "before" and "after" photos are any indication of how she feels, we think it's pretty safe to say Krystal is feeling much better! We hope her smile continues to grow as she heads to a family (a third-time EMAR adopter!) of her own just in time for the holidays! Happy tails Krystal!
Zane is a black and white poodle mix who was pulled from a shelter in a nearby county. He is a bit older in age which sometimes decreases the chances of adoption. Once we got Zane in our care, he was taken to the vet for a check up and the groomer for a spa day, also! It didn't take long for Zane to win the hearts of a local family. Zane's new family completely adores him and we couldn't be happier that he is officially home for the holidays!
These happy endings are the reason we do what we do. They are the best reward for the tough work required in the field of animal rescue. These smiling faces and wagging tails are the best gifts we could ask for and we are so thankful for donors like you who help to keep our mission alive. Thank you for your continued support. We truly appreciate all of your help!
