Children's Day in Thomayer Hospital
The children hospitalized in Thomayer Hospital celebrated their holiday. In every department, the game therapists in cooperation with Lekorice prepared a special programme for them.
In the Department of Pediatric Neurology, the guitar player with nice voice Míša Málková sang for the children. In the Department of Pediatric and Trauma Surgery, two volunteers in clown costumes made children laugh and showed them how to create various animals and flower of balloons. In the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the children made themselves decorative bracelets.
We thank to everybody who involved in the preparation of theChildren's Day. We believe that the children's joy was the best reward.
Meeting of Lekorice volunteers
Lekorice volunteers, volunteer coodinators, contact persons and the deputies of the association – these all came on the 5th of June to the summer meeting in the Thomayer Hospital.
We were sitting at the campfire roasting sausages, singing with the guitar and talking together. The weather was great, the sausages were tasty and the atmosfere was fabulous. It was a great opportunity to meet altogether and become closer.
The Lekorice team is growing and we are really grateful for that.
Art Workshop in the Department of Pediatric Neurology
On Monday the 25th of June, another from the regular Art Workshops took place in the Department of Pediatric Neurology. These workshops are primarily focused on supporting the mothers of the hospitalized children.
This time the mums and children created little hearts from the paper. Mothers and children had time fort talking together during workshop. The reward for their patient work was nice summer decoration in the shape of hearts.
