1) Christmas workshop in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
On 12th December, the Christmas creative workshop took place in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Thomayer hospital.
The children made decorative stars from glittering paper and christmas wrapping paper.
Everybody was glittering and smiling. All the participants enjoyed the right Christmas mood. The children could take the stars as a Christmas decoration for the Christmas tree.
2) Christmas workshop in the Department of Neonatology
Recently, there were Christmas creative workshops in the Department of Neonatology for the mothers of newborns and for the nurses.
The creative activity and time for rest brings mental relaxation to the long-term hospitalized mothers with their newborns. The mother can forget about everday worries for a while and reduce their concern. Moreover, they can create something nice.
In autumn, we knitted small basket from pedig. In winter, we decorated Christmaswreaths and made Christmas greetings cards.
The creative workshops were a nice experiece for everybody.
3) St. Nicolaus Day
Also this year, St. Nicolaus with his company visited the Thomayer hospital and brought angel kindness, hellish joy and generosity of St. Nicolaus presents. Not only the children but also the the adult patients and seniors got beautiful hand made greetings cards from volunteers. Adults and seniors are for this humour, attention and entertainment much more grateful than would we supposed.
Thank to the volunteers of Licorice we could altogether made a magic evening for 600 patients in the Deparment of Geriatric Medicine, in the Department of Oncology, Department of Neurology, Internal Deparment and further departments and ambulances.
Thank to everybody, who put angel wings, devil horns or Nicolaus staff on his heart :)
4) Advent workshop
Before the firts advent Sunday, the volunteers and the employees ofThomayer hospital could made their own advent wreath. Licorice has prepared an Advent workshop for them.
During the creating, everyone could taste Christmas punch, listen to the Christmas carols and enjoy the right Christmas mood.
Altough it was a huge event (there were more than 80 volunteers and emplyees), we believe that everybody leaves not only with the beautiful Christmas wreath but also with the nice Christmas mood :)
