Since the last report Better Family Foundation (BFF) has been busy on the field doing monitoring and evaluation on HIV/AIDS activities in the four health facilities in Boyo division.
During this excercise BFF staff visited the selected communities and worked with them without the representatives of the health units in the community. Through this interaction, BFF was able to gather information on how the health unit in the community is intervening in HIV/AIDS issues and the weaknesses realized.
After, the community meetings, BFF staff went ahead to organize interface meeting bringing together some selected members from the community meeting and health unit workers as well as community health workers. During this meeting the community members presented the decisions arrived at during the community meeting.
Through this, the health units become aware of the concerns of the community and what they need to do to improve on their interventions on HIV/AIDS programs. By this means the health facilities also let the community members to know what is expected of them to mitigate the spread of HIV in the communities.
Our appreciation towards the mobilization of all the stakeholders goes to all those who contributed in whatever way to assist BFF to carry out the program.
