A suceessful camp for youth at risk on Sex-ED.
By Mbeng Simon Nsah | The Director BFF
Better Family Foundation and Nourish International students from USA are currently holding an eight day camp for youth at risk on sex education. This camp started a week ago with the training of nine peer educators on the topic prevention of HIV/AIDS and early pregnancies amongst the youth in Fundong. These peer educators who have partnered with the Nourish students are today training seventy youth in Fundong on how to mitigate the prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS and early pregnancies amongst the youth in this community.
The participants in this camp are drawn from various backgrounds. They fall within the age range of 13 to 20 years. The peer educators are devoted community members who are willing to sacrifice their time to build the capacities of the youth.
Featuring during the camp are lessons, games and HIV counseling and testing exercises for all the participants. The participants are provided with learning materials and lunch.
We thank all our donors for assisting us to realize this dream which has become an annual event for Better Family Foundation.

Better Family Foundation has been very active on the field alongside our partners in order to ensure effective and efficient organization of the upcoming workshop on HIV/Sex-ED Day Camp for Risk Youth in Fundong Subdivision of Cameroon. So far BFF has been working with Clarmount chapter of Nourish International based in USA on how to organize the workshop. These eight youth will have to partner with eight Nourish International students to facilitate a workshop organized for 70 youths during summer. The manual for the workshop is under review and we are currently seeking for funds through Peace Corps Volunteer program as well to add to what has been raised through Global giving and Nourish International . We`thank all those who have donated and are willing to donate towards this workshop and we hope to improve the life of someone here in Fundong.
