Project Report | Nov 11, 2014
It is important to be there at the right time!

By Julia Fadeeva | Director of the Take A Step Charity Program

Dear Friends and Supporters!
We thank You for your support of our project which provides payments of treatment and means of rehabilitation for children with severe physical development disabilities from poor families. In 2014, we helped 13 children by providing funding for medical and rehabilitation treatments in the amount of 3,403,908 rubles ($104,095).

Juliana (the name has been changed)  was in a car accident and was seriously injured. She spent her fourth birthday in the ICU. She could not feel her legs or sense hot or cold temperatures. With the support of the State, Juliana underwent an operation. But in order for her to walk again, she required costly rehabilitation at the medical center. It would take her family several years to be able to afford the treatment with their modest income.

We were there at the right time and with the support of our donors, we were able to pay for the necessary rehabilitation! Juliana has been able to strengthen the muscles of her lower extremities. The most important strides Juliana has made is that now she can walk with the aid of crutches for 50 meters, all by herself!

Thank you for your support of Juliana and giving her the chance at a normal life. But still, so many children need Your help! As in the past 50 years, the world will celebrate World Children's Day on November 20th! Currently, there are 74 children waiting for treatment. You too can help the children and support them by making a donation!

Please spread the word about these children’s needs. The care they receive truly changes their lives!

The girl's story, which we helped a Family in our ward got in a car accident. The girl was seriously injured. His fourth birthday girl met in the ICU. And then it turned out that the baby does not feel his legs... With the support of the state the girl was operated on. But to restore lost motor skills was required costly rehabilitation at the medical center. But a family with a modest income could save money even for several years for treatment. With the support of our donors we paid the necessary rehabilitation! Because of this, Uliana strengthened the muscles of the lower extremities. Appeared thermal sensitivity feet (Juliana began to feel your feet heat and cold, as after trauma sensitivity was lost completely). Now Juliana began to walk on canes long distance - 50 meters ALONE!

But still so many children need Your help!
