First steps on the way to walk!

By Julia Fadeeva | Take A Step Program Manager

Dear Donors!

In the period from 2009 to the first half of 2014, we have helped 135 children with cerebral palsy in Russia.
These children are from low-income families whose income does not allow them to accumulate an amount sufficient to pay for expensive treatment and rehabilitation for their children.

Treatment takes place in Russian and foreign commercial clinics and is not funded by the government. For this reason, parents are forced to seek help from kind and caring people. And the compassionate people always come to the rescue!

  • Due to the treatments, children are learning to walk!
  • They are learning to position their body correctly!
  • They have improved their motor skills and have acquired new skills!
  • Through intensive rehabilitation, many children went to secondary school!!

We want to share with you reviews from happy parents who you have helped to pay for their children’s treatment:

"We're back from another course of treatment with good results and a lot of positive emotions. Daniel has become more confident and has increased range of motion in his hands. Due to increased therapy, he has increased muscle tone in his whole body. Speech therapy has helped Daniel begin to make sounds. We are so happy! I can’t find enough words of gratitude to the people who donated to help sick children! I am a mother, looking at my smiling son, who after the treatment is better, happier and mentally healthier. I wish health and happiness to all who are not indifferent to our problem. Thank you for who You are, I salute You!”

"Thank You very much for your help in the treatment of Sasha. After this course, Sasha has decreased spasticity in her legs and feet. Sasha now walks on her heels rather than on her tiptoes and her hands are more mobile. After this treatment, Sasha’s classroom teacher noted that she became more diligent and learned how to paint and draw. This will help the Sasha in the 1st grade! These are our achievements, thanks to you and your help! Thank You from our family for Your participation! You are good and light!!!"

"Thanks to Diema's Dream and all the good people for help paying for the X-Panda wheelchair for our son Nikita! The wheelchair is equipped with a table with two holders, shoulder and side supports, headrest with 4 holders and the holders for the legs. This wheelchair will provide our child comfort and mobility so Nikita can spend more time outside and lead a more active lifestyle! Thank you for your compassion and support!"

Currently in our care, we have 74 children waiting for treatment. You too can help! It’s easy and helps a child in need! Join us in the fight to help these children!

Thank you for your support for our children! Together we can make their lives better!

These children need continuous therapy - make a donation, tell your friends about them, continue to support the development of children!
