During this period Better Family Foundation (BFF) held a meeting in Fundong with some parents and guardians of some of the children we are sponsoring in schools. This is the very first time Better Family Foundation is holding a meeting with parents/guardians in Fundong since the beginning of the socio-political crisis that plagued the English speaking regions of Cameroon since 2017. Although, the crisis is not effectively over, some schools have resumed in Fundong town.
Some of the parents and guardians have indicated that they want their children to return to Fundong from where they have been studying. Considering their request there's need for Better Family Foundation Management to hold a meeting with the parents and guardians based in Fundong to find out how safe is it for the children to return to Fundong and attend schools.
From the resolutions, 80 percent of the parents and guardians decided that their children will return to Fundong and the rest opted that their children will continue where they are currently studying until the crisis is fully over. Based on the outcome of the meeting BFF is sure to start sponsoring children in Fundong come next academic year.
The Management of Better Family Foundation wishes to thank all those who are supporting the child education support program. We keep pleading for more funds especially as calm is seemingly returning to Fundong and many children and parents will be applying for more support.
