Hiring of home teachers for children under our spo
By Mbeng Simon | The Director
During this period which has been characterized by COV-19 pandemic Better Family Foundation Management decided to hold a meeting with parents and guardians of children under our sponsorship. The aim of the meeting was to decide with parents and guardians on how to improve on children's education during this period of lockdown because of the COV-19 pandemic.
During the meeting it was resolved that Better Family Foundation should work in partnership with the parents or guardians of children in order to improve children's educational performance. In this respect, home teachers were to be recruited to help the children at home during the time of health crisis. The home teachers were to be paid ten thousand francs (10,000frs CFA) per month. This amount was to be shared equally by Better Family Foundation and the parents or guardians of the children. The parents and guardians all accepted the lofty plan.
After the meeting, Better Family Foundation Management decided to follow up the parents and guardians at home levels to be sure that the parents have hired the services of the teachers as was resolved in the meeting. This was done through phone communication with the teachers, parents and children. In deed all the parents and guardians adhered to resolution of the meeting.
Better Family Foundation is very thankful to all who are partners to this educational program.

Evaluation of children's performance
By Mbeng Simon | The Director
The Management of Better Family Foundation is sorry to present this report later than expected due to some unavoidable circumstances beyond our control.
During this period the Management of Better Family Foundation contacted all the head teachers of the schools where it is sponsoring children and asked the head teachers to compile a list of all the children's results under Better Family Foundation child sponsor program and submit to the Management. The head teachers responded positively to this plea and the organization was able to have feedback of the children's results from the schools.
After compiling the results of the children under our sponsorship, only one student failed his examination. The Management of Better Family Foundation intends to follow up with the school authority to know why the said student performed poorly in order to seek ways to ameriolerate the situation. Generally, the rest of the children performed very well in the end of term examination in spite of the fact that they had been displaced from their home due to the depening socio-political crisis that has plagued the area.
The Management of Better Family Foundation continues to thank all our donors at home and abroad for their support in making these less privileged children have an opportunity to education. Once more thank you.

Further screening of BFF assisted children
By Mbeng Simon | The Director
During the last period the Management of Family Foundation (BFF) decided to do further screening for all the children under BFF sponsorship. This was because the authority of Better Family Foundation realized that some of the children as a consequence of the socio-political climate in the country have abandoned school where they were supposedly attending school and others were getting assistance from other organizations. Again, because of the challenging socio-political climate the funds raised for the project were insufficient.
The Management of Better Family Foundation decided to use the little available funds to sponsor only the children who were serious and solely depending on Better Family Foundation assistance. No new students were recruited because of financial difficulties. In all only forty (40) students were retained by Better Family Foundation for asdassista this academic year.
Better Family Foundation is thankful to all who have in anyway assisted the organization to sponsor the students in schools in other safe zones of Cameroon which are not plagued by the depending socio-political situation.
