During this period the Management of Better Family Foundation (BFF) held a meeting to screen and select the children for sponsorship for this academic year. For the past years all the children under BFF sponsorship have been studying out of Fundong and its environes due to the socio-political crisis that have affected the English speaking regions of Cameroon.
Considering that there is relative calm returning to the regions, some of the children and their parents have returned home and some of the schools especially within Fundong town have resumed studies though timidly.
With current situation in place, the Management of Better Family Foundation held a meeting in which children who have been under our sponsorship before the crisis and dropped out of school due to the crisis, were asked to return to school and were to benefit from our full sponsorship. On the other hand, those who went out with their parents to safer areas during the war were to benefit fifty percent of our assistance. On the whole 25 children were given full sponsorship while ten others benefitted from the 50 % subsidy.
We are grateful to GlobalGiving and all our donors as well as Fundong Municipal council for the continuous support giving us for the sustainability of this lofty program.
