Home visit of children
By Mbeng Simon Nsah | The Director BFF
Since the last report Better Family Foundation (BFF) has kept on following up the children we are sponsoring in schools. In doing this, Better Family Foundation staff have been visiting the children in their homes in order to assess their living conditions and how far their homes are learner friendly.
During these visits, BFF staff had one on one meetings with parents/guardians as well as with the children concerned. Through these meetings we addressed the children's worries and helped to educate the parents/guardians on how to help their children study effectively.
In addition to the payment of fee that was done for the children earlier, we equally gave on the spot assistance to some of these childrenn in order to ameriolate their home situation thereby motivating them to learn.
BFF continues to apppreciate all those who have been supporting this program in order to help our communities kick off illiteracy.

Follow up of children's performances in schools
By Mbeng Simon Nsah | The Director BFF
Better Family Foundation has a deep interest in the monitoring and evluation of all the children sponsor in our child sponsor program. In this respect, our staff have been visiting school authorities and families of the children concern to find out the performances of these children.
After the last school term examination results, we invited all the children under our sponsorship program to attend a meeting in which we evaluated their performances, found out their difficulties and suggested solutions to help these children overcome the difficulties.
The parents and guardians of these children were excluded from this meeting in order to create a free atmosphere for the childrern to express their feelings. In all, 48 children out of 65 attended the meeting. It was realized that the performances of the children have improved in spite of the challenges some of them are facing at home.
We continue to appreciate all the donors who have being contributing to make this program a succes. In deed your donation has brought a smile on the face of a child here.

Better Family Foundation had been very busy updating the files of all the students and pupils who are benefitting from our scheme as well as screenng new cases for assistance since the last report.
Initially, for 2015/2016 academic year, we intended to sponsor 50 children in primary and secondary schools in Cameroon but our donors have acted so positively that we are able to sponsored 60 children instead (40 from secondary and 20 from the primary schools). On the average each child in the secondary school received $60 making a total of $2400 and in the primary school each child received $40 making a total of $800 and $500 had been set aside for home visits, school visits and feed back forums.
During last October, the tuition fee were paid out to the school authorities in the present of children and their parents or guardians. See picture of those in attendance on that day.
Better Family Foundation wish to thank all the donors for making this dream come true in a great way. We also wish to extend the appreciation of both the parents and the children to all the donors. Again we say thank you.
