They Once Provided for Their Families. Help Them Find Their Way Back.

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

Before conflict changed their lives, many displaced families in Benue were independent.

They cultivated their farms, traded in local markets, raised livestock, and worked hard to provide for their children.

Then violence forced them to flee.

Almost overnight, people who once supported themselves became dependent on the generosity of others.

For many, this loss of independence is among the most painful consequences of displacement.

At GoGreen, we believe displaced families deserve more than temporary relief. They deserve opportunities to regain control over their lives.

Through our humanitarian response, we are exploring practical empowerment approaches, including biomass briquette production and use, that can help vulnerable households develop useful skills and potentially reduce everyday cooking expenses.

With adequate support, these activities could also create opportunities for small-scale income generation.

Our goal is not simply to distribute assistance indefinitely.

It is to help families move gradually from emergency survival toward resilience, dignity, and greater self-reliance.

Imagine helping someone who once depended entirely on humanitarian assistance develop a skill that could contribute to supporting their household.

That is the kind of lasting change we hope to achieve.

Your donation can help us continue providing essential food assistance while supporting practical opportunities for recovery.

Please stand with displaced families as they work toward rebuilding the independence that conflict took away.
