For a family experiencing hunger, a meal is not something that can wait. Parents need to know that their children will have something to eat today.
Karamoja is facing a serious food-security challenge. The latest 2026 IPC assessment reports that approximately 473,000 people are experiencing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity, representing about 32% of the analysed population.
Young children are particularly vulnerable. Approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months are projected to face acute malnutrition, including around 30,600 children with severe acute malnutrition during the March 2026–February 2027 period.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda is appealing to the GlobalGiving community to help us support families facing this crisis.
Your donation can help provide essential food packages to vulnerable households. It can mean food for a family that is struggling to make ends meet and relief for parents who do not know where their next meal will come from.
We also believe that emergency relief should be connected to long-term solutions. Through seeds, agricultural knowledge, farming skills and appropriate resources, families can have opportunities to strengthen food production and become more resilient.
Objectives:
Your donation can help put food on a family's table today and help create the foundation for a more secure tomorrow.
Please donate, share this campaign, or partner with us to help reach vulnerable families in Karamoja.
