An ANONYMOUS DONOR has generously provided matching funds for new recurring donations on GlobalGiving. This matching offer is valid from December 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 at 11:59:59 pm Eastern Time, or while funds last.
If you make a recurring donation during a minimum of 4 months starting in December 2015, the anonymous donor will match your first donation (the one made in December). So if your recurring donation is of USD 50.00 per month during 4 months, our project will receive USD 250.00 !! (your 200 + 50 matched by the anonymous donor).

Our activities continue as usual and we are doing our best to add some fun activities for our students. We have recently organized a visit to a museum and students have also participated in the construction of a panel on Human Rights that is being installed in the LUZ metro station in São Paulo.
However, we would like the recurring donations to help fund TWO NEW COOKING COURSE MODULES, in partnership with a chain of 3 restaurants in São Paulo (Restaurante MODI - see LINK#2 hereunder).
The first module will teach members of families from the neigbourhood how to cook healthy meals. There is an increasing demand for this sort of service.
The second module will train assistant-chefs to prepare them to work in a restaurant. Candidates also come exclusively from the poor neigbourhood of ITAQUERA.
We are very excited with the launching of these two modules and with the partnership with MODI restaurant! New job opportunities are being created!
The first module will start in February and the second one in March.
