Initiatives sometimes change with unexpected situations.
These past months, due to an increased demand by their parents, we have given special focus to a group of intellectually disabled youths.
Several agents were involved in this mission. We used the help of a Social Assistant, a Psychologist and an Educator. We established partnerships with a Movie Theater Group and two major Supermarket chains in São Paulo.
We did our best in order for the youths to capitalize and improve on what they had already previously learned and added the concepts of citizenship, behavior, ethics, group work etc.
Our initiative was very successful as 15 out of the 20 youths now have a job with our three partners!
A good result that needs to repeat itself!
Our activities that consist of training youths for the market place were carried on as usual.
