We have good reasons to be happy!
We are fully installed in our new premises.
We were finally able to start our courses on April 11th, a week behind the planned schedule. But given the complexity of the whole process, this was quite an achievement (find a new house, sign a new rental contract, find a grantor, obtain all the authorizations and licenses, do the move, install all the equipment such as furniture, computers, hire new personnel etc.).
We are teaching Administrative Assistant, HR Assistant and Computing. English classes will start in the coming weeks.
Because we have started from scratch, classes are smaller. We have currently 23 pupils per 3 month cycle and this number will grow to 50 as we move along.
The young man seen on the picture is Thaian. Thaian is 20 years old. He and his family arrived recently in São Paulo from Fortaleza, a town in the Northeast of Brazil. They currently live in a room that was lent to them in a poor neighborhood next to the Association. His mother is desperate to give him a future. As soon as she learned about the Association, she took Thaian to apply for a course. Both were interviewed and Thaian was one of the first students to be accepted. Thaian is taking Administrative Assistant classes. Both of them are so excited about this opportunity!
Let´s wish him good luck and success in his effort!
We are very thankful to you for providing us financial support and assistance. This initiative would not be possible without your help.
Thank you all so much. Very soon we will be telling you success stories involving our youths.
Thanks again!
