Kato-san, The President of the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School, shares that we have a total of 11 Taylor Scholarship students this year and sends video messages from all.    He also introduces us to the five first year students. All students are intensely studying English and their success is on display in their video messages!

It is currently the break between the first and second semester. All second-grade students are on vacation and all first-grade students are interning until the end of September.  Three of the students, Miyuna, Saori and Takashi were in Washington, D.C. from 7/17 to 8/2 to attend an English language immersion program given at The Language Center & Sugai Program at George Washington University.   They report they had a wonderful time there which will help them further in their careers!

All of the students need scholarships to attend the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School because of hardships caused by the 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.  The Sendai YMCA and TAMF provide these scholarships jointly.  Please watch the video messages at the links below.  We thank you for watching!
