Kato-san, The President of the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School, tells us that that our five scholarship students are doing well and all students are healthy with cases dropping in Sendai. He shared the especially good news that 80% of the second-year students have already been successful obtaining job offers well before their March graudation!
Please see the video messages from each of our 2021-2022 scholarship students:
Many of the students need scholarships to attend the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School because of economic hardships, some caused by the 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, and lately because of the pandemic they lost the chance to work after school. The Sendai YMCA and TAMF provide these scholarships jointly.
