Four New Taylor Scholarship Students
By Andy Anderson | Co-Chair
New Student Kaede
Kato-san, The President of the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School, tells us that that there are four new scholarship students. They are all freshmen and are going to do an internship program for two months from the middle of July.
The students, Kosuke, Kaede, Mio and Mana have video messages for us in English . They tell us about their new lives at school, studying hard to meet their qualifications, their upcoming internships and how they are learning English for their hospitality careers in restaurants and hotels.
Many of the students need scholarships to attend the Sendai YMCA International Hotel and Pastry School because of economic hardships, some caused by the 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, and lately because of the pandemic they lost the chance to work after school. The Sendai YMCA and TAMF provide these scholarships jointly.
Thank you for the support you have given these students. It is your help which makes it possible for them to pursue their chosen careers.
