Today, we at East Mississippi Animal Rescue would like to spotlight an animal that YOU have helped with your donations. Captain came to us from the local animal control facility. One of his front legs had bone exposed from an old injury. Once in our care, Captain received proper veterinary care and had surgery to remove the rest of his leg. It took time, but eventually Captain's forever home was found last year! Here are some words from Captain's new family:
I just wanted to send you some long overdue photos of Captain - he's doing great and as you can see is loving all of the snowfall we've gotten this year. We also bought him some doggie wheels, which he is learning to use for longer walks, and we've discovered that he is an avid hiker, as we frequently bring him up a small mountain nearby. Thanks again for rescuing him and helping us bring him into our lives - he's definitely become a well-loved member of our family!
Though Captain is having fun playing in the winter weather, we know his heart is warm with love! Donors like you ensure that we are able to continue helping more animals like Captain. Thank YOU for helping us provide Captain with the best life possible.
