The MediaArts Lab is a natural extension of Agastya’s multisensory approach to learning. It supports teachers, training them to use technology to make teaching aids and conduct research. Students are taught to use digital cameras, video cameras, computers, sound recorders and more. They produce movies on social concerns, make pamphlets and posters to raise awareness, and learn tools for social activism at the local level. Overall, the Centre is a tool of empowerment, pushing children to make a positive difference in the society.
Furthermore, Agastya’s iCommunity project falls under the direction of the MediaArts Lab, teaching digital literacy to village students who otherwise have no access to computers or the Internet. They learn enough to at least understand what these tools are and the basics of how to use them.
For the month of November, the MediaArts Lab reached 676 students across Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Brief Overview of the activities; November 2017:

This month the children were introduced to topics such as Microsoft Office, text typing, waste management, Likhita, Kitchen garden, Bio- Data form, and many more such fascinating concepts.
New Learning:
The children gained exposure to the Scratch Program, where they are learning how to create their very own interactive stories and animations.
