Part 1: GENERAL INFORMATION

Executive summary
We are determined to reach our target of 90 youth from northern Uganda within 2 years that suffered under a civil war that lasted 20 years and now under recovery programs from a multitude of players to which we want to be counted for supporting hands-on vocational skills training to the youth. Knowing well that they are prone to all forms of social outcast thereby resorting to idleness, gambling, prostitution, organized groups of street gangs faced with unending economic challenges. We consider project beneficiaries seeking admission to enroll and participate. Radio and community visits constitute communication channels we make with the project staff and management in consultation with school heads and community leaders to advertise and attract participants.
90 youth will be trained in vocational skills education, life skills survival and entrepreneurship, other social services and formal education. During this second year of our operations under the GlobalGiving partnership, we shall continue on with our affirmative action and enroll sixty percent female youth, from the most remote areas to benefit from the project. The project targets youth aged between 16 and 25.
Our project activities on vocational skills training in livelihoods like through agriculture (horticulture), job creation, environmental awareness and entrepreneurship form the main part. With the support of the project, 13 of the youth enrolled, will continue to receive training on different skill set with the support from January 2020 to April 2020 a period of this report.
The meager funds received from parents and donor sources for school fees and other requirements continued to affect the tools and equipment, partial scholarship and tutor’s allowances negatively as most trainees are frequently sent out of school due to non-payment of requisite fees.
