Hi
Hope you are doing well.
Reading is a mind’s journey into a world of endless possibilities. But children settled in rural parts of India are far kept from the magic of books, due to lack of resources and opportunities. Through our Community Library Program, we aim at building local libraries that are overflowing with all genres of books, driving every child’s imagination to new horizons.
With your support, Agastya collected 18,845 books in Kuppam Library, collected e-content which comprises 1800+ e-Books, and 1500 + videos as on 31st March 2018.
Activities Conducted:
- Sentence formation, book research and story writing through “Pop-Up book” activity, Origami paper designs (Different caps, puppets, gift box, and mini book), Characterization, dialogue narration, and role play through Puppetry etc.
During the last quarter, we reached 2,000 students and 117 teachers through Kuppam library, and achieved 1242 student exposures through community library. Children who visited library were the part of all the above activities.
