Better Family Foundation and Nourish International students from USA are currently holding an eight day camp for youth at risk on sex education. This camp started a week ago with the training of nine peer educators on the topic prevention of HIV/AIDS and early pregnancies amongst the youth in Fundong. These peer educators who have partnered with the Nourish students are today training seventy youth in Fundong on how to mitigate the prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS and early pregnancies amongst the youth in this community.
The participants in this camp are drawn from various backgrounds. They fall within the age range of 13 to 20 years. The peer educators are devoted community members who are willing to sacrifice their time to build the capacities of the youth.
Featuring during the camp are lessons, games and HIV counseling and testing exercises for all the participants. The participants are provided with learning materials and lunch.
We thank all our donors for assisting us to realize this dream which has become an annual event for Better Family Foundation.
