Children's health improves by Your Help!

By Debra Cockrell, Elena V., Anastasia S. | Diema's Dream Team

Dear Friend!

We sincerely thank you for your support of our project on the Global Giving! With your help the lives of children with severe mental and physical development is always improving!

Children from Elatma Orphanage (Ryazan region) were treated in a children's orthopedic department of the Federal Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise in Moscow for the first time this spring and summer.

In October-November they repeated courses of treatment. The Foundation organizes this treatment in the framework of verticalization, which we have been carrying in Elatma since 2008 with the participation of the head of the children's orthopedic department FBMSE and doctors of the department. They have been overseeing the children over the years and encourage them to take such courses regularly, 2-3 times a year. It is very effective in improving their health and improves the results of the daily work of their verticalization which is conducted in the orphanage.

Each child has an individual program of treatment - drug therapy, electrical stimulation, magnetic therapy, acupuncture, massage, physical therapy, etc. Such complex of treatment is not like than they get in Elatma, but it is almost impossible to get in immediate area points, as there are neither necessary institutions nor specialists. Also this treatment is now possible to go through the budget. We were even given free transportation for children to treatment this time; we only paid care services for children.

All children had a positive trend after the treatment; everyone became calmer, gained weight. It is important that the kids really like to be treated in FBMSE. The children were always in good mood then and now.

Even tearful Dasha (the name is changed) began positively react to strangers - obviously concentrated her opinion, even seemed to smile! And all the time she was singing and doing something with her hands as if she was dancing.

Nastya (the name is changed) has been trilling with infectious laughter for several times a day. Andre (the name is changed) showed us how he had been felt his legs holding on the bed, and boasted of new shoes which had been presented to him by doctors. Elia (the name is changed) also smiled, despite the fact that her movements were very limited. It is a great joy to go beyond the orphanage, to meet new people and especially other kids for these children!

We thank you for your support of these children –such success would have been impossible without you!

Help them to develop further by making regular donations and telling your friends about us!
