Dear friends,
The last three years have become a real challenge for charity, but we have preserved and continue to help orphans with the most severe and multiple developmental disabilities. Thanks to your support, we ensure that babies with mental and physical disabilities are provided with the most important things. Every day these children have a nanny/mom who comes to the orphanage and teaches life skills. Without the help of a specialist, these children cannot learn self-care and communication. With the help of caring people, this becomes possible!
In 2018 - 2021, there are 15 teams of specialists worked in the project in 10 orphanages. We helped 180 children acquire more than 7,000 skills, learned:
- brush your teeth yourself,
- dress and put on shoes,
- chew uncleaned food and eat with a spoon,
- play with toys,
- hold your head, stand, sit, crawl and walk.
There are set of 640 required skills in total we teach by PORTAGE metodology. Ordinary children learn them easily. But children with severe disabilities take many months. Together we can do it!
Watch our video and share it with your friends. We started filming the project in 2019 and finished filming despite the pandemic intervening. Hundreds more children are waiting for our help, and we will definitely help to improve their quality of life. Self-reliance is a victory over social isolation for disabled orphans!
$44,315 raised of $50,000 goal. It remains to collect just $ 5,685 Help us reach our goal!
And may health, luck and well-being follow you in 2022! Warmest wishes!
