GlobalGiving Community Aid Fund

Thank you—we cannot express enough gratitude for your generous and rapid support of the GlobalGiving Community Aid Fund. Your contribution is already making a meaningful difference for many communities during a time of enormous risk and collapsed services. 

Thanks to your generosity, GlobalGiving distributed 14 emergency grants last week to local, vetted nonprofit partners in eight countries. These organizations are working tirelessly to serve their communities despite the challenges created by the U.S. government's freeze on aid and foreign assistance.

Here's just a glimpse into the impact your donation is already making: 

• In Uganda, Kawempe Home Care has been forced to suspend the majority of its staff and shut down critical projects serving women and children with HIV, tuberculosis, and cancer. Your support gives the organization's team the necessary breathing room to sustain their community work while they plan their next steps. 

• In Honduras, Red COMAL has lost a core source of funding for its critical work feeding and supporting Indigenous farming communities across the country. Your support gives the organization more flexibility in adjusting its programs to this new reality of significantly reduced funding. 

• In Yemen, Support Yemeni Society Organization for Development has been forced to suspend or scale down many of its life-saving programs serving communities who have faced years of deadly conflict and trauma, including emergency food programs for young girls in rural communities. Your support provides a lifeline to the organization as it remains committed to reaching Yemeni people in need.
