By Keturah Shammah | Executive Director

DEAR Partners,

I am thrilled to inform you that Girls Education Mission International on 8th April 2021 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (PSUBEB) at the PSUBEB office. The MOU outlined the initiative of mutual cooperation between the two parties in the areas of improving access to quality for girls in primary and junior secondary School education in the State in the area of  scholarship award, mentoring, vocational and digital literacy and teacher's professional development training as well as to compliment the government intervention at introducing skills development opportunity for students in order to enhance their employability skills and instill in them the urge to work and earn from an early age. Among those present were the the Chairman of PSUBEB Prof. Sule, his team of directors, Mrs. Keturah Shammah, the Executive Director of GEM and her team.

This to us as an oganisation is step towards reaching our goal of ensuring gils are enrolled, retaine and complete their education with dignity. Thank you to your believe in our mission that brigns such a great confidence in the government to establish such a mutual collaboaration. We believe that we can do more than ever before knowing quite well that of the threat of insecurity and harsh economic realities that disrupts the education of girls in Nigeria, Africa and globally.
