Hello Dear Supporters,

In this report I would like to tell you a bit about Marius, the man who runs the open shelter where 300+ animals live.  Romania Animal Rescue met Marius back in 2016 when we first opened our Center of Hope clinic in Ilfov County.  Marius contacted me asking for help with vaccines, spays and neuters.  I was impressed with his wisdom to do right by the animals he rescued (some in Romania refuse to spay or neuter their animals). I agreed to help him and we have been working with him ever since.

Soon thereafter, Dr. Aurelian Stefan, our veterinary director, told me the factory that was supplying food for Marius' dogs stopped and Marius was struggling to feed his dogs and cats, and could RAR help for a month.  Well as is often the case, one month turned into years of a commitment to help these animals survive, thanks to your help.

Marius finds and rescues these abandoned, often injured or ill animals, in his community of Urziceni.  They are dumped by irresponsible people, often as puppies or kittens, in garbage bins, community landfills, in the forests or on the roads.  He works at the factory that used to supply food for the animals.

Your donations only go to purchase food directly, that is then trucked to Marius.  Dr. Aurelian purchases the food in bulk monthly at 1000 Euros which is a discounted price due to the quantity purchased. And this allows Marius beloved dogs and cats to survive.

So congratulations to you, or fabulous supporters, for keeping these animals tummies full.  Without you they literally have no other means to get food.

I hope you feel closer to Marius now, and will share with your friends so that we can continue this generous help for him.

Great big thanks to you!

Greetings Dear Friends,

We would like to send you a few photos from Marius' shelter.  It is an open shelter whereby he cares for over 300 dogs and cats, primarily dogs.  You see Romania has a terrible problem with abandonment. Puppies, pregnant females or females in heat are abandoned outside the shelter.    Our support was previously for 200 animals, but throughout the years it has increased to 300.

We cannot allow these animals to starve.  They have already been through so much....puppies in their short lives that are sometimes found in the garbage bins, and the shunned females have endured more than enough suffering.

In addition to food, we supply vaccines and spays and neuters, along with emergency treatments for seriously ill or injured animals for this amazing man.

I hope you can support our help for Marius.  Please share, tell your friends, and please continue to support our hard work to make lives better for thousands of animals and those who love and care for them.

Thank you!

Greetings to you,

The harsh winter of Romania is just around the corner, and Marius shelter needs your help with food donations. We have been

helping Marius animals since 2017. He rescues the truly unwanted, abandoned dogs and cats, often finding them in trash bins

as puppies and kittens. The love, respect and affection he provides to these animals is generally the only they have ever

received. However, our resources our completely tapped out to provide food once again. We need YOUR SUPPORT to help.

The total cost for these 300+ animals (primarily dogs) is 1000 Euro each month. Please will you help us to continue to help

Marius shelter?   ANYTHING HELPS.

The Romania Animal Rescue team of vets, techs, rescuers, shelter providers, and volunteers wish you a wonderful

Holiday Season with kindness and compassion for all.

Thank you friends.  Together we can change the fate of so many!

Greetings Friends,

For over 5 years RAR has been providing food for Marius shelter dogs and cats.  These are all abandoned animals, taken in by Marius.  Some have suffered abuse.....all were suffering from neglect.   RAR has provided spays/neuters, vaccines, deparasiting and food.  This shelter is located on factory grounds thus allowing for the animals to move freely.   Marius cares for up to 300 dogs and cats.

We want to show you some of the faces you help with your support.  We are tasked with providing 1000 Euros of food each month.

Please continue to support our work and share with your friends.  These dogs all depend on us and we depend on you.

Thank you!

Greetings Everyone!

Here is your latest Project Report.

Thanks to donors, we were once again able to provide Marius' shelter with the food they need for their 200+ dogs and cats.

Marius wrote to personally thank me, saying his animals would starve were it not for the food they receive each month from Romania Animal Rescue.  I hope we can be able to afford to continue this help each month.  The price of food has increased dramatically.  Food manufactured in Romania is now being sent to Ukraine to feed those starving animals.  It's a devastating situation for all.

We were able to treat some Ukrainian refugee animals.  33 cats and 4 dogs were brought by van to the Center of Hope where they were treated, microchipped, sterilized, and vaccinated.  Another dog arrived from Odessa.  He had been shot and run over by a car.  Thankfully we were there for treatment and help.  I pray that this awful war comes to an end....we will be there for them.

In other news, as of March 31, 2022, RAR has spayed and neutered 100,646 dogs and cats!  Imagine how many lives this has saved.....one surgery that can save hundreds from ever being born to suffer multiplied by 100,646.  What a tremendous help this is for the animals and those who care for them!

We also had our first school field trip of the year just today.  Children came to Center of Hope where they were given an interactive tour as well as educational booklets about animal welfare.  It was a fun day for all!

And just for a heartwarming end, please see this YouTube video:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DqFZSMMihX4

Mama cat was brought to the Center of Hope with massive internal injuries.  During surgery it was found that she was pregnant, but 2 kitties were dead.  Then the surgeon saw something moving in her bowels.  The Miracle Kitten was still alive!  Now reunited with mama after a long ordeal.

Best of everything to you, our donors and friends.  Together we can make miracles for the animals!
