Food for Romanian Animals

Dear Friends,

Feeding over 300 animals daily......this is what we are able to do thanks to our supporters.  We have been helping the independent rescuer Marius for years to supply food for his dogs and cats, particularly in this extremely cold weather in Romania.  Marius rescues animals that are dumped in unimaginable conditions.  Puppies and kittens thrown in dumpsters, abandoned in the middle of roadways and forests.  It's a daunting task for him and we stepped in to help.

We also help independent rescuers who on a occassion ask for a few sacks of food to get by.  As long as we have funds for food, that's where those funds go to....paying for food.

We pride ourselves that we are an all volunteer charity.  No paid staff .  Only our vets and techs are paid per their work.  We feel your donations as well as ours are supposed to help the animals.  We see to it that this is what we do.

Thank you for reading this report.  It's always so uplifting and a relief to be able to say to Marius as he sends me messages monthly asking for a delivery of food that "yes, we can provide that for you my friend".  And it's all thanks to our amazing donors like you.

Marius is a humble man with a great love for animals and a determination to do right by them. He began his shelter by rescuing puppies and kittens that were "throwaways" *…...some literally found in garbage bins as newborns. RAR first met him in 2016 when he asked for our help for spays and neuters and vaccines. At that time the factory where he is employed was providing food for his shelter located on the property. But soon, as often happens in Romania, the factory abruptly cut off the food supply. Our Veterinary Director told me Marius dogs and cats were starving. So Romania Animal Rescue needed to step in to provide food for these now 300+ dogs and cats. This is the background of why we have continued to reach out to you, our amazing supporters, for help. Each month, food costs are $1000. We hope you will continue to support Marius's animals.
