Greetings Friends,
The situation in Romania is bad....more animals are being dumped by neighboring cities and towns. Rescuers are overwhelmed. While Romania Animal Rescue is providing over 13,000 sterilizations now per year, with a grand total of over 156,000, and providing veterinary care and treatments via our Homeless Animals Hospital Program to approximately 4000 desperate animals each year, our team is desperately trying to get the resources for more food.
Now another shelter is begging us for help. Anca in Perisou, whom we help with vet care, has taken in more hungry mouths that she finds literally on the streets.
Marius now has over 400 dogs and cats. He recently found a litter of abandoned newborn kittens, whom he is bottle feeding. Last month we were able to reach our goal of 1000 euros towards his food, but this month is leaving our begging bowl empty thus far.
Please help these animals. We are doing all we can to stop the births of unwanted animals, but we need to be able to feed those who already exist, through no fault of their own.
