"I am a graduate now dear donors!" Arasu (name changed) proclaims happily.
Arasu comes from a very poor family, Arasu lost his father when he was studying 4th standard. As his mother could not afford to send him to school he dropped out of school. His mom is a wage earner and he supported his mom by earning as a daily labourer in the nearby weaving industry. "That was when I met the New Life special school teacher. He counseled me to continue my studies. The New Life team talked with my mother too and convinced her to send me to the special school. My mother was happy that I could get a meal per day besides getting his education. I joined in 5th standard in the special school." says Arasu.
Then Arasu was mainstreamed in the nearby government school. He was continuously followed up and motivated by the New Life Team. He then joined College to do his undergraduate in History. He was selected for financial support from New Life. Now he is a proud graduate. He aims to pursue his post-graduation and we wish he could attain his goal. He is thankful to you dear donors for supporting him.
Children like Arasu are given hope by New Life to continue their studies only because of the generous donations you make dear donors. Dear Donors,
"I was working as a housemaid when I was 9. Thanks to the special school teacher and the team of New Life who found me working and counselled my parents to admit me to the special school for child labourers," says Shree. She has a younger brother and her parents are daily wage earners. Due to poverty, she was stopped from going to school. She was working in a nearby house as a maid. After getting admitted to the special school in 5th standard, she was motivated continuously by the New Life staff.
She started climbing the education ladder. She was mainstreamed in the nearby regular school. Her tireless efforts had helped her study Engineering in Electricals and Electronics. She has completed her Engineering studies now and is waiting for placement.
Shree thanks the donors, New Life, and its team who have made this possible. "Without your support my life would have been dark working as a maid. Besides motivating me to study, New Life financially supported me continuously to pursue my dream of Engineering Bachelorette. Otherwise, I would have ended up in doing a Degree in Arts. I again thank you all for supporting me to achieve this." says Shree.
Many children whose life was abused could get their right of education with the support of New Life. And this could be achieved only with the support from you all dear donors. You believed in us and supported us to continue to reach out to these poor kids.
While thanking you, we also request you to continue supporting us, and spread words about this project to your friends and relatives who give weightage to your words. This will help us and our children to reach out to new donors.
Thanking you once again.

Dear Donors,
We, the New Life team and the children benefitted by you wish you a "HAPPY AND WONDERFUL YEAR AHEAD!" May we emerge out of this pandemic situation with more strength and restore back to normalcy.
It will be a great plaeasure for you all to start the New Year by listening to the story of Prabakaran. "Prabakaran is 20 years old when he first received your support and was studying X standard. We are proud that he scored 69% marks in the public exams held in the month of March 2015.
Due to poor family background, he had to drop out from school while he was in IV standard. He started supporting his family financially by sheep rearing. His mother Mani is a daily wage earner and earns Rs 150/- per day. Some times she will not have any work and during those days the family have to starve. Prabakaran's father died some years ago. And he has 2 brothers.
When New Life staff came to know about him, they approached Mani, with much effort convinced her to stop sending the boy to the work. It was because of the boy's interest in studies and our continuous efforts, the boy was sent to the special school. He joined VIII standard in the Government Higher Secondary School, Arangur.
Now Prabakaran has completed his graduation in Commerce with Computer Applications. You will be glad to know that he is working as a Quality Controller in a Socks making company in Coimbatore. He is earning 130$ per month now. This is a great relief to his mother and the family is slowly steadying up financially. He is repaying the loans borrowed by his mother.
The team of New Life is very happy to see that that his dream has come true. The dreams of poor, deprived children like Prabakaran can be made a reality only with the support of you, dear donors. So kindly keep supporting these children, to complete their education. With you as partners, New Life wishes to support the dream of a minimum of 25 such children who were earlier child labourers.
We know your words carry weight with your likeminded friends and relatives. Kindly keep spreading the message about the project close to your heart and help these children achieve their dreams.
Dear Donors,
Hope and wish that you are all safe and healthy in this pandemic period.
Balu (name changed) was rearing goats when he met the special school teacher of New Life. He was tiny and busy chasing the goats. While talking to him the teacher came to know that he dropped out of school because he lost interest in studies. His parents are daily wage earners and Balu is their only son. They wanted their son to study. The counsellor and the teacher counselled Balu and convinced him to come to the special school in Kodiyampalayam. Balu found the special school friendly and attended the classes regularly. Then he was motivated to join the regular school in the fifth standard.
He continued his studies without any hindrance then onwards. When he had to join 9th standard he was selected for financial support to continue his studies. He was continuously supported for four years since then. He passed his Higher Secondary School Examination last year. He scored 53% marks in the exam and has joined graduation in Commerce in this academic year 2020-21. Because of the pandemic, he is attending the online classes. Now he is eagerly waiting to go to college.
Children who were destined to work during their childhood like Balu were found out by New Life's team. They are being motivated to change their destiny. And this is possible only because of the support you give dear donors.
Balu and children like him are grateful to you, for making this happen. They are also motivated to support other children like them once they grow up. We request you to continue supporting these poor children. Also kindly spread words about the projects of New Life to your friends and relatives. Your words carry weight.
Thank you once again donors for your valuable donations and kind support.
Stay safe and fight "Corona".
With warm regards
Sarasa (name changed) is from a very poor family. Her parents and her elder sister and brother are illiterates and are weavers. Sarasa too was sent to rear goats when she was a small girl.
This was brought to the notice of the staff of New Life's special school for child labourers. They talked with Sarasa and found that she is willing to study. So they met her parents and counselled them to admit her to the special school. It was a difficult task and Sarasa was allowed to go to regular school on the lure that she will get a meal a day.
She was admitted to the special school in 2009 and mainstreamed to regular school in 2011. She scored 66% of marks in 10th and 70% in 12th Board Exams. Now she is in the third year of her undergraduate course in Commerce. She is being continuously financially supported by New Life since Standard 12th.
Sarasa says with gratitude, "I would not have continued my higher studies but for New Life's financial support. The organisation is supporting me for the fourth year. And I will be completing my degree this year. I am so happy that I am the first literate in my family. I want to become a bank manager and I am striving for that. I thank New Life and all the donors who are educating ex-child labour children like me."
Thank you, dear donors, for magnanimously supporting these cursed children to continue their studies. Their curse is turned to blessing only because you decided to donate for this noble cause. Kindly spread words about this project to your friends and relatives. Keep sharing about the project in social media. Your words carry weight.
Thank you once again donors for your support.
