We are about to finish this year 2022 and we feel anxious to tell you about the progress we have made in recent months with the development of the “Jóvenes creaTIvos” program. As we mentioned previously, due to the growth the program had this year in relation to previous years in number of beneficiaries, cities and groups, and to facilitate the correct development of the program, we grouped its execution in 3 blocks. Below you will find the summary of the progress of each block:
1. Barranquilla:
The two groups from Barranquilla started first, so they were the first finishing the program on November 5. During these last months the following activities were carried out:
August 6 to October 29: The Software Development Training Workshop was held. The two groups from Barranquilla specialized in Front End development.
October 31 to November 4: The final survey was carried out among the young participants to evaluate different aspects of phase 3 of the program, obtaining excellent feedback from the youngsters.
November 5: Two activities were held, which were carried out at the facilities of the Metropolitan CATI of Barranquilla city:
2. Medellín and Envigado:
This block was conformed by six groups of “Jóvenes creaTIvos”: two groups in Medellín and four groups in Envigado. They finished on November 19 with a special event called “Expoferia – Youngsters in the ITs”. The progress of these groups in the recent months was as follows:
August 6: Virtual educational visit to the facilities of our ally Lean Tech located in the city of Medellín.
August 13 to November 12: The Software Development Training Workshop was held. Of the six groups, five specialized in Front End development and one in Mobile development.
November 8 to November 18: The final survey was carried out among the young participants to evaluate different aspects of phase 3 of the program, obtaining excellent feedback from the youngsters.
November 19: The event called "Expoferia - Youngsters in the ITs" was held at the facilities of the Débora Arango library park in the city of Envigado. 70 youngsters from of a total of 105 who finished the program from these cities, presented their final projects in front an audience conformed by businessmen, family members, mentors and allies. Additionally, there was the presence of expert lecturers on technology issues, as well as a series of motivational talks. As part of the event, there was a panel called "Youngsters in the ITs", where beneficiaries of the previous cohorts of the program and other invited youngsters discussed how their participation in the program, and their subsequent connection to the world of IT, has positively influenced their lives and those of their families. In the afternoon, the closing ceremony of the program was held, where 105 youngsters from the six groups received certification for successfully completing the program. Representatives of the Medellín mayor's office, the Envigado mayor's office, Sofka Technologies, CEFIT, Aburrá Sur Chamber of Commerce and Renault Foundation attended. Special recognition was given to the youngsters who stood out the most for their attitude, participation and performance throughout the program, as well as to mentors, monitors and allies who made this process possible. We had the participation of the orchestra of the AMADEUS Foundation and the dance group of the Envigado Culture department.
3. Bogotá and Cali:
The progress of the two groups of “Jóvenes creaTIvos” in this block, one in Bogotá and the other in Cali, has been as follows so far:
August 6 to August 20: The Introduction to Programming, GIT and SCRUM Workshop, which had started on July 9, ended.
August 27 to November 19: The Software Development Training Workshop was held. Both, the Bogota and Cali groups, specialized in Front End development.
November 8 to November 25: The final survey was carried out among the youngsters of the program belonging to these cities, to evaluate different aspects of phase 3 of the program.
The closures of the program in the cities of Bogotá and Cali, which will include the presentation of projects and the closing ceremony, will take place on November 26 and December 3, respectively.
We are very happy with the work we have been doing in 2022 with this fourth cohort of “Jóvenes creaTIvos” program. This motivates and encourages us to start working on the program for 2023, where we have set the goal of reaching 600 young beneficiaries in at least six cities in Colombia (Bogotá, Medellín, Envigado, Cali, Cartagena and Barranquilla). We know that thanks to the work we are doing at the ROFÉ Foundation and with the support of all of you, we will successfully carry out the new 2023 cohort.

VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL:
Estamos a punto de finalizar este año 2022 y nos sentimos ansiosos por contarles el avance que hemos tenido en estos últimos meses con el desarrollo del programa Jóvenes creaTIvos. Como les comentamos previamente, debido al crecimiento que tuvo el programa este año en relación a los años anteriores en número de beneficiarios, cantidad de ciudades participantes y número de grupos que lo conforman, y para facilitar el correcto desarrollo del programa, agrupamos la ejecución del mismo en 3 bloques. A continuación encontrarán el resumen del avance de cada bloque:
1. Barranquilla:
Al haber sido los primeros en comenzar, los dos grupos de Barranquilla fueron los primeros en finalizar el programa el pasado 5 de noviembre. Durante estos últimos meses se realizaron las siguientes actividades:
Agosto 6 a Octubre 29: Se llevó a cabo el Taller de formación en desarrollo de software. Los dos grupos de Barranquilla se especializaron en desarrollo Front End.
Octubre 31 a Noviembre 4: Se realizó la encuesta final entre los jóvenes participantes del programa para evaluar diferentes aspectos de la fase 3 del mismo, obteniéndose una excelente retroalimentación por parte de los chicos.
Noviembre 5: Se tuvieron dos actividades, las cuales fueron llevadas a cabo en las instalaciones del CATI Metropolitano de la ciudad de Barranquilla:
2. Medellín y Envigado:
Este bloque conformado por seis grupos de Jóvenes creaTIvos, dos en Medellín y cuatro en Envigado, finalizó el pasado 19 de noviembre con un evento especial denominado “Expoferia – Jóvenes en las TIC”. El avance en los últimos meses fue el siguiente:
Agosto 6: Visita pedagógica virtual a las instalaciones de nuestro aliado Lean Tech ubicado en la ciudad de Medellín.
Agosto 13 a Noviembre 12: Se realizó el Taller de formación en desarrollo de software. De los seis grupos de Medellín y Envigado, cinco se especializaron en desarrollo Front End y uno en desarrollo Mobile.
Noviembre 8 a Noviembre 18: Se realizó la encuesta final entre los jóvenes participantes del programa para evaluar diferentes aspectos de la fase 3 del mismo.
Noviembre 19: Se llevó a cabo el evento “Expoferia - Jóvenes en las TIC” en las instalaciones del parque biblioteca Débora Arango de la ciudad de Envigado, en donde 70 jóvenes de un total de 105 culminantes del programa de estas ciudades hicieron la presentación de sus proyectos finales ante un público compuesto por empresarios, familiares, mentores y aliados. Adicionalmente se contó con la presencia de conferencistas expertos en temas de tecnología, así como con una serie de charlas motivacionales. Como parte del evento se tuvo un panel denominado “Jóvenes en las TIC”, en donde beneficiarios de las cohortes anteriores del programa y otros jóvenes invitados discutieron sobre cómo su participación en el programa y su posterior vinculación al mundo de las TIC ha influido positivamente en sus vidas y en las de sus familias. En horas de la tarde se tuvo la ceremonia de clausura del programa, en donde 105 jóvenes de los seis grupos recibieron la certificación por culminar satisfactoriamente el programa. Se contó con la asistencia de representantes de la alcaldía de Medellín, la alcaldía de Envigado, Sofka Technologies, CEFIT, la Cámara de comercio de Aburrá sur y Fundación Renault. Se hicieron reconocimientos especiales a los jóvenes que más se destacaron por su actitud, participación y desempeño a lo largo del programa, a mentores, a monitores y a aliados que hicieron posible que este proceso se llevara a cabo. Se contó con la participación musical de la orquesta de la Fundación AMADEUS y del grupo de baile de la secretaría de Cultura de Envigado.
3. Bogotá y Cali:
El avance de los dos grupos de Jóvenes creaTIvos de este bloque, uno en Bogotá y otro en Cali, ha sido el siguiente hasta el momento:
Agosto 6 a Agosto 20: Se finalizó con el Taller de Introducción a la Programación, GIT y SCRUM, el cual había iniciado el 9 de Julio.
Agosto 27 a Noviembre 19: Se realizó el Taller de formación en desarrollo de software. Tanto el grupo de Bogotá como el de Cali se especializaron en desarrollo Front End.
Noviembre 8 a Noviembre 25: Se realizó la encuesta final entre los jóvenes participantes del programa para evaluar diferentes aspectos de la fase 3 del mismo.
Los cierres del programa en las ciudades de Bogotá y Cali, que incluirán la presentación de proyectos y la ceremonia de clausura, se llevarán a cabo los días 26 de noviembre y 3 de diciembre respectivamente.
Estamos muy contentos por el trabajo que hemos venido realizando en este año 2022 con esta cuarta cohorte del programa Jóvenes creaTIvos, lo cual nos motiva e incentiva para comenzar a trabajar en el programa del año 2023, en donde nos hemos puesto la meta de llegar a 600 jóvenes beneficiarios en al menos seis ciudades de Colombia (Bogotá, Medellín, Envigado, Cali, Cartagena y Barranquilla). Sabemos que gracias al trabajo que estamos haciendo desde la fundación ROFÉ y al apoyo de todos ustedes sacaremos adelante en forma exitosa la nueva cohorte 2023.
