Dearest Donors,
We are extremely grateful for your donations to our Noto Support Program.
It will soon be two years since the earthquake.
Japan Platform (JPF) began providing emergency assistance and local needs assessments from the day the Noto Peninsula earthquake occurred in January 2024. In addition to providing rapid rescue and medical assistance, as well as food and sanitation support, we also provided assistance such as livelihood reconstruction and mental health care in areas where infrastructure had been severely damaged.
In September 2024, just as signs of recovery and reconstruction were beginning to appear, the area was hit by devastating heavy rains. JPF expanded its assistance plans and utilized its local networks to respond swiftly to ensure that no one was left behind.
In cooperation with Ishikawa Prefecture, we delivered daily necessities to people living in temporary housing in evacuation sites in all cities, towns, and villages in the prefecture.Since March 2025, we have been providing support to people living in temporary housing, mental health care, and livelihood reconstruction support.
Thanks to your support, JPF has been able to continue its relief activities. Our activities will continue in the future, but our donation window will close at the end of year 2025. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your support so far.We will continue to post updates about our future activities on the JPF website and social media, so please keep checking them out.
There are only a few days left until 2026. We hope that this will be a happy year for you, and for people all over the world.
With love, Naomi
